Welcome to Helplink, a platform designed to assist South African micro-businesses in their transition from the informal to the formal economy. By accessing and using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering, accessing, or using the Helplink website and its associated services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our platform.

2. Services Offered

Helplink provides a comprehensive business support program for qualifying South African micro-businesses, including:

– An AI and Digital Transformation for Small Business Management Course (SETA-accredited NQF Level 4).
– Personalized Mentorship from business experts.
– Marketing Support to help find more customers and enter new markets.
– Potential access to small grants for purchasing assets, tools, or equipment for your business.
– Access to support networks, professionals, and the Helplink community.

3. Eligibility and Assessment

Qualification Criteria: The Helplink Micro Program is available to South African micro-business owners who meet specific criteria, including BEE Level One status and a demonstrated readiness for structured business growth.

Assessment: All applicants must complete a comprehensive assessment form to help us understand your business, evaluate your eligibility for the program and any potential grants, and connect you with suitable mentors and support. Selection is based on eligibility, business readiness, and space availability within the program.

Purpose of Information Collection: The information collected during the assessment helps us understand your business needs, determine qualification, and identify alternative support if you do not qualify for the full grant program.

4. User Obligations

As a user of the Helplink platform, you agree to:

– Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration and assessment process.
– Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
– Use the platform and its services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
– Not upload any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
– Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website, other accounts, or computer systems connected to the Helplink platform.

5. Grants and Funding

Grants for small assets, tools, or equipment may be available to qualifying businesses. These grants do not need to be repaid.
The value of support packages, including potential grants, is custom-designed and tailored to the needs of qualifying businesses, typically ranging from R40,000 to R120,000.

Grant qualification is determined solely by Helplink based on the assessment and eligibility criteria.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property displayed on the Helplink website are the property of Helplink AI or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without explicit written permission from Helplink AI.

7. Limitation of Liability

Helplink AI will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or use of our website and services. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Helplink AI, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Helplink website or your breach of these Terms and Conditions.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Johannesburg, South Africa.
